Equal opportunities in the Collaborative Research Centre

Our overall objectives:

• The active involvement of all persons involved in DQ-mat in the equality strategy of the participating partners LUH and PTB.
• The promotion of women in scientific positions
• Reconciling work and family life
• Increasing the proportion of women in the Collaborative Research Centre

In this context:

• Information on events within the scope of gender equality measures will be given
• Parental leave within an ongoing project supported as far as possible
• Childcare support offered at the LUH and PTB
• foeXlab has an equal number of student assistants
• Small scientific projects for female students from the 2nd to the 4th semester are offered as assistant positions and equipped with the necessary materials:
  • Computer control for ultracold atoms Test
  • stand for novel ion traps
  • Production and characterization of glass fibers for ultraviolet laser radiation
  • Laser systems for D1 cooling of Sodium atoms
  • Development of an experiment for accuracy analysis in optical interferometry in the student laboratory foeXlab
