The Seventh European Conference on Trapped Ions (ECTI) 2023 took place at Schloss Bückeburg, from 25-29 September. The event, co-organised by the Collaborative Research Center DQ-mat, the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers and the Quantum Valley Lower Saxony QVLS, brought together more than 250 participants.
The world-wide ion trapper community assembled to discuss the latest developments in the field, including quantum computing, simulations and sensing, precision measurements and optical clocks, crystals and dynamics, molecules and more.
The diverse program included not only 33 invited talks, 14 hot topic talks and 112 posters, but also different social activities that offer an opportunity for casual scientific exchange as well as lab visits of Leibniz University Hannover or Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Braunschweig.
The next ECTI will take place in 2024 in the Netherlands.
