Abstract

500 years ago, radical Anabaptism emerged in the early Reformation period. On the occasion of this anniversary, we will not only look back, but also forward and ask about the future of Anabaptist and non-Anabaptist congregations in a post-Christian society. Thirty three theological observations provide perspective-limited, thesis-like proposals for the theological perception of the current challenges facing both (forms of) churches in view of the loss of the majority of the former »Volkskirche« in society. In the spirit of »reconciled diversity«, the explosive nature and necessity of ecumenical dialog and the lived »synod« are highlighted.
